Capitol Hill Part II

During our last photoshoot in the Capitol Hill area, we also took some photos near the public library and the Denver Art Museum. The central public library is great – it’s huge and has a good selection. There’s even an entire section of Japanese language books, which I was delighted to find on my first trip there. The staff there is extremely helpful too. I haven’t been back there much recently, since it’s just a little bit too far to walk on a regular basis. I’ve walked there a few times, but it takes 20 to 30 minutes and then you have to walk back with all your books… If I had a bicycle it would be no problem, but there’s no real point to have a bicycle when I drive to work, and on the weekends we usually either walk or drive.

The Denver Art Museum is housed in a pretty cool building. We went there once for a special exhibit on influential Japanese fashion designers, including Kansai Yamamoto (who designed most of David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust’s iconic outfits). The exhibit was awesome, but we were disappointed that there wasn’t an exhibit book that we could buy afterwards. We’ve been keeping our eyes out for other cool fashion exhibits, but so far no luck… Right now it’s a Degas exhibit, which I’m not so excited about since Degas is in basically every major museum lol.

Anyway, here are the rest of the photos from our Rick Owens + Kooples fashion shoot!
